Cybrillion V3, the Rolls Royce of mechanical mods!

Today I am going to talk about a new product signed by Imeo Thanasis and I want to start this article with the preamble made on the occasion of the Amadeus RDA review.

If the world of vaping had its gods, The Golden Greek would probably be considered the Zeus of the Olympus of Vaping. We are back in 2009 when Imeo Thanasis, a mechanical engineer from Athens, founded The Golden Greek brand and started designing professional hardware solutions for vaping. The electronic cigarette is still a thick and almost unknown nebula, but there are already those who think big and realize the change that the sector would soon have invested.

Imeo Thanasis is one of the very first explorers of this new world that is being shaped and today, after a decade, we can observe the tangible signs of his work through some systems of his invention, which constitute a sort of milestone for vaping. I will simply mention some atomizers, such as the Ithaka or the Tilemahos, or simply remember solutions like the rebuildable deck without turrets or the side button on the mechanical mods, to help you understand the importance and scope of this manufacturer within high end niche in the e-cig sector.

After talking to you, as anticipated earlier, of the Amadeus RDA, today I will dedicate myself to the version number 3 of the Cybrillion, a mechanical tube mod that can be combined very well with the Amadeus in both the RDA and RTA versions.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

Imeo Thanasis is universally recognized as the prince of modders, because since the dawn of his activity, even before aesthetic solutions, he staked everything on innovation combined with the absolute quality of his products. Looking at the Cybrillion V3, I can confirm without doubt that, even in this case the modder’s mission has not changed. The Cybrillion V3 is a tube of excellent construction quality made of 316 stainless steel and/or brass. Nothing is left to chance and the workings, engravings, threads, tolerances are unquestionably perfect. Once challenged, this mod transmits an impeccable sense of solidity and we will also see that there are really valuable technical solutions on the mod. We will see them soon.

ERGONOMICS AND PORTABILITY

The feeling with the Cybrillion V3 is immediate, and how could it be otherwise in the presence of a tube so well done!
81 mm in height for a diameter of 25 mm and a weight of less than 90 grams (approximately 147 grams with a 21700 battery): these are the numbers of the tube, on the ergonomics of which frankly there is little to discuss. The portability of the tube is good, made more than sure by a very effective locking mechanism, which I will talk about in the next paragraph. It must also be said that, once an atomizer is mounted, the overall length of the combo represents a not insignificant footprint but honestly, talking between us, if you have this kind of mod, you don’t take it for a walk! It would be like carrying around a very expensive Bog Oak pipe!

In my opinion this is a mod to contemplate by holding it in your hands and sitting comfortably on a sofa.

FUNCTIONS & PERFORMANCES

So here I am ready to tell you about the technical features of the Cybrillion V3 by The Golden Greek.

The first thing that needs to be said, is that the Cybrillion V3 is completely dismountable in all its parts, to allow for the best cleaning operations. Let’s take a close look at all the components with their characteristics:

stainless steel or brass tube body;
stainless steel top cap (two supplied, based on the diameter of the atomizer to be mounted) with side vent holes;
plastic sleeve for 18650 battery;
double layer inner shirt (external plastic material and brass internal material). On the external plastic material there is a rectangular window that holds a part of the internal brass layer in view. The inner layer of brass has a spring on the bottom which comes into contact with the negative pole of the battery and which, in case of a short circuit in the atomizer, lowers, melting and thus completely isolating the battery itself;
brass side fire button;
stainless steel lower cap.

This mechanical tube has an indirect negative connection, so the negative pole of the battery is not in direct contact with the (negative) body of the tube. The connection is made through the contact between the fire button and the inner sleeve of the tube (in its brass part). The inner shirt of the Cybrillion V3 can rotate by simply rotating the lower cap; by turning it is possible to align and make possible the contact between the brass part and the fire button (tube ready to use), or any activation can be prevented by allowing the fire button to be in contact only with the plastic part (tube in block and in a safety position). This is a genial solution and I have also to say to say that this solution is very effective and functional. A perfect work.

The only small note that should be made, regards the fire button which has such a minimal travel that it is extremely sensitive to activation.

EASE OF USE

The mod has a great construction quality and technical and safety solutions, but most of all the Cybrillion V3 can also boast a truly disarming ease of use, even for those who have never been in possession of a mechanical mod. The only care you need to have with this product, it is linked to the very narrow pitch of the top cap thread, that requires special attention when you want to screw it and/or unscrew it.

TO CONCLUDE

The Golden Greek unveils the latest version of its already well-known Cybrillion, and does with the usual skill of the experienced modder, very careful to the quality of his products to equip always with innovative technical solutions. The Cybrillion V3 is a tube designed essentially for a flavor chasing vape and/or for a mouth to lung vape and goes perfectly with some atomizers by the Greek company, such as the Tilemahos Armed Eagle or the more recent Amadeus.
