The big iJust family by Eleaf is expanding!

Eleaf, one of the giants of the vaping industry, is expanding the family of its successful iJust series with the new iJust Mini Kit.

As we have amply recalled in other recent reviews, even iJust Mini fully follows the current tendency to develop an increasing number of “easy” vaping solutions, to the detriment of the more complex solutions for more advanced vaper. It is no coincidence that this is a phase of vaping in which we observe a market that is increasingly invaded by pod system, the entry level system par excellence, or even by “easy” kits, designed for those who want to make an important first upgrade of their vape systems.

Let’s start our review by looking at the contents of the iJust Mini kit as usual.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

iJust Mini is an “anomalous” Vape pen because it is made with an unusual diameter (22 mm) for this type of electronic cigarette. The design is the classic one of a vape pen, the style is pleasantly minimal and also from the constructive point of view, the kit is absolutely solid and well made. It is undeniable that the construction quality of entry level products has now reached levels that were unthinkable only a few years ago. In this sense, Eleaf is certainly a manufacturer that has made an important contribution to raising the bar for high quality products even for neo vapers.

This latest kit is a clear demonstration, and iJust Mini stands out for its clean lines and for the sense of solidity it transfers by holding it in your hand.

ERGONOMICS AND PORTABILITY

One of the strengths of the iJust Mini Kit is undoubtedly its compactness. In just 104 mm of height on a diameter of 22 mm and 90 g of weight, you have a mod of 1100 mAh and a 2 or 3 ml MTL atomizer (based on the tank glass tube that will be mounted).

These are numbers that testify the excellent feeling that you got by iJust Mini from the first approach. The mod has also a large heptagonal fire button, easily accessible. The product is therefore extremely easy to handle and more than ever easy to transport. Excellent work in terms of design by Eleaf.

FUNCTIONS & PERFORMANCES

Let us now analyze in detail the characteristics of the two components of the kit, starting with mod. The small Eleaf tube, as mentioned in the previous paragraph, has an integrated 1100 mAh battery. Switching on and off is done with the classic sequence of five close clicks (within 1.5 seconds). The fire button is equipped with a light indicating the battery charge level: green light to indicate a charge between 100% and 60%, blue light for a charge between 59% and 20% and finally light red for a remaining charge less than or equal to 19%.

It is also possible to choose between three different dispensing powers, by clicking the activation button three times consecutively when the device is switched on. Each time the triple click is made, the light indicator will flash three times to show the selected power level (green = high power, blue = medium, red = low power). Anyway it must be said that we didn’t notice big differences between the three different power levels.

The device is recharged using the supplied micro USB cable and takes about 1 hour to complete a recharge cycle.

Some key protection features complete the iJust Mini model:

– over 10 seconds power protection (the indicator light flashes 10 times and stops dispensing);
– short-circuit protection (the indicator light flashes 5 times and prevents the device from dispensing);
– protection for coil greater than 3.0 ohm (the indicator light flashes 10 times slowly and then another 10 rapidly);
– low voltage protection (below 3.3V the indicator light flashes 20 times to indicate that the battery needs to be recharged).

EASE OF USE

iJust Mini is a very simple and intuitive device precisely because it is essentially designed for users who are not too advanced. It should also be said, however, that unlike other entry level devices, iJust Mini could find use not only among newbies vaper. As we have seen, there are no particular adjustments to make except to decide the output power level and then press the fire button and vape. Easier than that…

iJUST MINI TANK – FLAVOR

If the kit’s battery is a mod with rather standard characteristics, the same cannot be said for its atomizer equipped with the latest Eleaf features. The tank has all the features of a real MTL both for its comfortable and ergonomic drip tip, with a flared line ideal for the MTL vape, and for the airflow control with five small holes that can be split at will. With the GT M 0.6 ohm head the vape is a bit airy, a pure restricted flavor chasing (recommended 3-5 open air holes), while with the 1.2 ohm GT head we are in pure MTL with a contrasted throw closed and rather soft (optimal setup with 1-2 open air holes). The two glass tanks available allow you to have a capacity of 2 ml (TPD version) or 3 ml (bubble glass tube).

On the tank there are the new solutions adopted by Eleaf for its atomizers, that are the completely anti-leak refill system and the hermetic tank closure system during head replacement. The liquid is filled from the top by lifting the top cap and pushing it outwards, at a notch on the top cap itself. The refill slot is also equipped with a membrane that prevents the leakage of liquid even in the event of the overturning atomizer.

The solution that makes the iJust Mini hermetically sealed when the deck is unscrewed to replace the head is added to the excellently designed refill system. Two small bulkheads lower and completely isolate the area containing the e-liquid from the rest of the atomizer. We are in the presence of a completely childproof atomizer.

The iJust Mini is therefore a well-designed tank, aesthetically more than pleasant and above all powerful, although it is (it is good to remember) an entry level product.

The atomizer behaves more than well in terms of aromatic yield with both heads supplied, even if in our opinion it is expressed a little better with the 0.6 ohm head, being able to provide a fuller and perhaps even more complete flavour.

Valid for those who start vaping but equally valid for those who have been vaping for some time.

TO CONCLUDE

The iJust Mini Kit despite being a low-end product, stands out for its decidedly above average quality for the market segment to which it belongs. With a highly competitive price It is able to squeeze the eye not only to the new vaper or inexperienced vaper, but also to the long time vaper who could find in this combo a very valid walking or vacation solution.
